Ready yourself for a transformational experience as you discover the wonder of Taiji as the grand backdrop to your life.
The educational portion of Basic Taiji Play contains scientific research, the Daoist roots of Taiji and the energetic underpinnings of this ancient dance. Based on precepts from the Tai Chi Classics and Chinese medicine theory and practice, the interplay of these paradigms provides an integrated approach and basic foundation for your Taiji discovery.

Next, your body, mind and spirit are ushered into the realm of the rhythmic, flowing and empowering Taiji experience. This starts with the Seven Taiji Prep Workouts which are a highly engaging and powerful series of movements – a core training system developed as preparation for learning the Taiji form.
Entry into the world of Guang Ping Yang Style Taiji begins with great reverence as you “Strike Palm to Ask Buddha” and take the first step along your path to mastery. The first section of the form is the easiest in terms of level of difficulty, yet the most challenging as it is your first brush with Taiji choreography.
Through a culmination of targeted mind intent and repetitive practice, you will soon find yourself immersed in whole-body movement and experiencing the sensation of qi building within your center of power and throughout your body. This is an evolving process that holds many opportunities for growth.
